RSL NSW Matters Must Be Resolved in Veterans’ Interests

MEDIA STATEMENT

The Returned & Services League of Australia (RSL) urges the RSL NSW Board to promptly resolve conflicts within RSL New South Wales, and with its Sub-Branches and associated entities.

RSL National stands ready to provide any assistance that may help bring about a resolution of the current issues in the best interests of the veteran community.

The RSL must always put the interests of veterans first, and it is incumbent on the RSL NSW Board to resolve these issues as a matter of urgency.

RSL National President Greg Melick said veterans deserve stability and confidence in the organisations established to serve them.

“Our priority must always remain the wellbeing of veterans and their families” Greg Melick said.

“The RSL NSW Board must work to resolve this matter as quickly and transparently as possible.

“Our national organisation is ready and willing to provide any assistance it can that may help bring about a resolution in the best interests of the veteran community,” he said.

As a legal claim is now before the NSW Supreme Court, RSL Australia is unable to provide any further comment.
